About

I’m an ASP.NET web developer, based in the UK – now also learning iOS development since I fell in love with my iPad. Mixing iOS with Windows Azure and ASP.NET keeps life very interesting!

  1. Wouldn’t happen to know how to set a Master View Controller’s popover in portrait mode from either popping in a floating view or sliding in from the left? Lets take the default masterdetail template which on my machine in portrait mode the table view slides from the left as opposed to popping up? Thanks.

    • Hi David. It looks like the new, sliding behaviour was introduced with iOS 5.1. I’ve not found anyone with a (simple) way to revert to the old, floating Popover style yet. However, if you’re desperate, there is the option of using the open source MGSplitViewController as a replacement for the Apple one. Yes, hassle, I know!
